Eating Disorder Therapy
Eating disorders are mental disorders that present themselves in abnormal eating habits including binging, restrictions and other actions that result in negative effects on an individuals physical and mental health. Eating Disorders can occur in both men and women at any age, however, most commonly disorders begin between the ages of 14 and 25.
Common symptoms of eating disorders include skipping meals or taking much smaller portions than usual, extreme dieting, withdrawal from social activities, excessive concern with body size or weight, mood swings, food rituals (ex won’t let food touch), noticeable fluctuations in weight, fainting, menstrual irregularities, or impaired immune functioning.
